Stephanie Van Patten opened the Quintessential Quahog, a store offering a collection of eclectic items from signs handpainted by her husband, George Shuster, to antiques and knickknacks on Saturday. The store is located at 990 West Shore Road at the southern end of the village and is open Monday and Wednesday 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday by chance. Here, Van Patten is joined by family and friends for the opening.
