Opening April 13

The Community Players continue their 91st season with Al Dubin and Harry Warren's toe-tapping musical, "42nd Street." Set in Depression-era New York, "42nd Street" spins the classic showbiz tale of a young, starry-eyed chorus girl hoping to join the cast of her first Broadway show. This delightful musical is filled with rousing dance numbers and wonderful musical gems, including "Lullaby of Broadway," "We're in the Money," "Shuffle Off to Buffalo" and, of course, "42nd Street." The production is directed by Andrew Bobola, with choreography by Timothy Reid and musical direction by Ron Procopio. Pictured in this scene are Kara Marziali of Cranston and Joe Wilkicki of East Greenwich. The production runs from April 13 to April 29 at Jenks Auditorium, Division Street, Pawtucket. Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m. Reserve online at www.thecommunityplayers.org or call (401) 726-6860.
