Packing in smiles at the YMCA

To the Editor:

The Kent County YMCA thanks Citizens Bank and their partners Coast to Coast Promotional Products, Resources (Recycling) for Rhode Island Education and 92 PRO FM for generously donating hundreds of backpacks with school supplies to our summer campers entering first grade this fall. Many of our children and families struggle to afford back-to-school supplies and Citizens and their partners relieve some of the stress and financial strain associated with going back to school and turn the focus on the excitement of a new school year.
Not only did they give backpacks to the Kent County Y campers, they brought smiles to children across the state by giving out backpacks at our Cranston YMCA and South County YMCA in Wakefield.
We are so grateful for their partnership. The above picture is our simply way of saying “Thank You”. It includes, Rebecca Merritt, camp director (far left), Cory Guglietti, Operations Director (second from right), and Ned Handy, President, Citizens Bank,
Rhode Island (far right)
