Local churches are always looking for ways to raise money. Yard sales, spaghetti dinners and May breakfasts are among the most popular.
Edgewood Congregational Church has come up with an innovative idea to raise funds to help continue its mission in the community.
When a parishioner moved to California, he sold his house and donated the furnishings to the church for an estate sale to be held on Saturday, July 12 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 34 Harding Ave., off Park Ave. in the Edgewood section of Cranston. Items must be sold and moved immediately, as the house has been sold. Contents include furniture, vintage clothing, knick-knacks, kitchen ware, chairs, yard furniture, tools and much more.
Edgewood Church is an open and accepting congregation and welcomes everyone to attend the estate sale and to visit the church at the 10 a.m. Sunday service.
For more information, call the church at 461-1344 or check their web site at www.edgewoodchurchri.
