Residents are advised that a portion of the city’s walking path at Rocky Point, including the northern entrance, will be closed beginning yesterday for approximately two weeks, due to the demolition of the former Rocky Beach cottages. 

Mayor Scott Avedisian said, “The city of Warwick has been working closely with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management in monitoring the ongoing demolition work at Rocky Point. We appreciate our residents’ ongoing cooperation as we continue to work collaboratively with the state to ensure public safety while this property is being transformed into a beautiful coastal park.”
