Patricia A. (Desaulniers) Thomas

Patricia A. (Desaulniers) Thomas, age 77, of Church Avenue, Warwick, died on June 2, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. She was the wife of William E. Thomas for 56 years.

Born in Woonsocket, the daughter of the late Victor and Albertha (Levesque) Desaulniers, she lived in Warwick since 1943. Mrs. Thomas was a secretary for the Warwick School Department, and worked at Toll Gate High School, John Wickes School, and Holliman School, before retiring in 1998. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles and swimming. She was involved in forming the Sherman School PTA Kindergarten.

Besides her husband; she is survived by three children, William V. Thomas of Long Beach, California, Joanne P. Thomas of Swansea, Massachusetts, and Brian E. Thomas of Warwick; and two grandchildren, Brianna Lynn Thomas and Seth Michael Thomas.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 5, at 10 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a committal service to follow at the Rhode Island Veterans’ Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 8 – 10 a.m.
