The Pilgrim girls’ basketball team ended up in overtime on Tuesday night against Mt. Pleasant, but it was the Kilties who made the plays down the stretch to earn the win.

Mt. Pleasant won 53-48 in a battle of evenly-matched teams, as both their records now stand at 3-12 in Division II-Central. The game was knotted at 42-42 heading into the extra frame, but the Kilties out-scored Pilgrim 11-6 in the final five minutes to pull out the win.

Alexa Annotti paced Pilgrim’s offense with 13 points, while Maddy Craik and Clare Birney each had eight points. Haley Donahay had six. Mt. Pleasant got 17 points apiece from Mikel Baker and Allahna Cooley.

Before the game, Pilgrim celebrated Senior Night, honoring Craik, Birney and Donahay.
