Paul F. Niederberger

Paul F. Niederberger, 82, passed away March 3, 2014 at home. He was the beloved husband of Margaret C. (Harvey) Niederberger.

He was a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Cetto) Niederberger. Paul was one of the youngest of 12 children, four of whom lived in the United States, Anna Andrade, August Niederberger, Thea Rosati, Karolina (Lina) Schneider. Paul was employed as a toolmaker for Kuzmann Chain for over 50 years before retiring. He was a Korean War Army veteran, and a founding member of St. Kevin Parish, where he served as a collector and on several committees. He formerly was a Cub Scout leader and soccer coach. He was a member of the Machinist Union for over 50 years, and served as a shop steward.

He was the father of Paul J., Mark J. and his wife, Jane E., Adam F. and his wife, Deborah J., Heidi M. and Cara R. Niederberger; grandfather of Amy, Sarah, Adam, Jr. and Christopher Niederberger.

The funeral will be Monday, March 10 at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7 p.m.
