Paying it forward

Elite Physical Therapy upheld its annual tradition of making the holidays a little brighter for local Rhode Island communities with a food drive run through the months of November and December at each of its locations. Additionally, Elite Physical Therapy adopted seven local families and fulfilled their Christmas wish lists. This year, over 200 pounds of food was collected, all of which was donated to the Rhode Island Food Bank. The adopt-a-family program was run through West Bay Community Action, the largest provider for basic needs in the Kent County area. Elite also participated in a company-wide “pay it forward” program. Each office was given $100 cash to go out into the communities and make a difference in people’s lives. The staff worked together to perform random acts of kindness through the month of December and “pay it forward.” The main goal was to create a ripple effect through the communities, where people are happier, helping each other more, and inspired to live healthy lives. “Our entire group is passionate about helping people beyond just improving their health. We also care about improving people’s lives. It was really fun and inspiring to see such giving spirit among our entire staff,” said Michael Nula, Doctor of Physical Therapy and founder of Elite Physical Therapy.
