Avid wind kite surfers are a close-knit group that keep a watchful eye on the weather and conditions. And Saturday was a good day at Conimicut Point, drawing kite surfers from across Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts. Alex Sameko from Milford, Conn., seen in these shots, was one of eight kite surfers. He is also a wind surfer but says that’s “like mowing grass … you just go back and forth.” The exception is when winds are over 40 knots. Sameko made flying look easy and landing just as fun.
