Poetry workshop hosted by Pilgrim senior focuses on bullying

Pilgrim High School senior Victoria DuBois is hosting a poetry-writing workshop, starting on Oct. 16.

The three-week program is part of her senior project, and will give teenagers the chance to express their feelings about bullying through writing. Dubois said she hopes the workshop, which will take place at the Warwick Public Library, will serve as a way for young people to fight back against the act of bullying. High school students between the ages of 13 and 18 with an interest in creative writing or poetry and that have experience with bullying are all welcome to attend. The first workshop starts at 6 p.m. on Oct. 16 in the small meeting room; there is no cost to attend.
