STOLEN WALLET

Officer Ryan Lancaster responded to Warwick police headquarters at 12:10 p.m. on June 20 for a report of a stolen wallet. Upon arrival, Lancaster spoke with a woman who said her wallet had been taken from her vehicle. She said she left her wallet in the glove box at about 8 p.m. on June 19, and the vehicle had been parked in her driveway on Long View Drive in Warwick. She said she noticed her wallet was missing at 10 a.m. on June 20. She said she left the vehicle unlocked during that timeframe and did not see any suspicious persons around the vehicle.

Her wallet, a black Target leather wallet with black bow valued at $10, contained the following items: her R.I. driver’s license, U.S. Social Security card, birth certificate, Blue Cross medical insurance card, her daughter’s UnitedHealthcare medical insurance card (which also has her daughter’s Social Security number on it), a Mastercard debit card from Centerville Savings Bank, a Mastercard credit card from Capital One Bank, and one checkbook from Centerville Savings Bank. The woman told Lancaster she already cancelled her cards and checking account, but she was unable to provide the card numbers or checking account number since she had already cancelled them and did not have old records to reference. She said nothing else was missing from her vehicle. There were no suspects.

MISSING TIRES

Officer Julio Benros was dispatched to Dickerson Marina at 17 Arnold’s Neck Drive at approximately 7:34 a.m. on June 20 for the report of a larceny. Upon arrival, Benros met with the victim, who said between 7 p.m. on June 19 and 7 a.m. on June 20, two truck tires described as Gladiator QR99, size 11R24.5, were stolen from the rear bed of his truck. The tires are described as being truck tires and are valued at approximately $640. Benros said there was no video surveillance for the area. The report will be forwarded to detectives. There were no suspects.

KEYED UP

Officer Nadine Parmenter was dispatched to C&L Auto, located at 715 Warwick Ave., on June 19 for a damage complaint. Upon arrival, Parmenter met with the reporting party, who indicated that when he opened the car lot in the morning, he observed damage to one of the vehicles. He said the vehicle had been keyed and sustained damage around the entire vehicle. Parmenter said there were also pry marks to the area of the driver’s side door. The man told Parmenter there wasn’t any video surveillance. There were no suspects.

TOOLS TAKEN

Officer Ryan Lancaster responded to Warwick police headquarters at 8:30 a.m. on June 19 for a report of a larceny from a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, Lancaster spoke with a woman, who said she works for Cardi Construction as a carpenter and had driven a truck to a class at 5 p.m. on June 18 at the carpenters’ union hall at 14 Jefferson Boulevard.

She said she was inside attending the class until 8 p.m., and when she got back to her truck, she noticed one of the silver tool boxes on the back of the truck was slightly ajar. This was the box at the rear of the truck on the passenger side. She said she drove him prior to inspecting the box. When she looked at it, she said it was unlocked and opened easily. She said multiple tools were missing and that she had locked the box prior to going into the union hall for her class.

The missing tools are listed as follows: two 15-amp Dewalt skill saws at $199 each; one 7.5-amp Bosch hammer drill (Bulldog) at $199; two 20-volt Dewalt cordless drills; and one 12-amp Milwaukee sawsall at $99, for a total value of $1,154.

Lancaster said he inspected the toolbox and observed scratches that could be consistent with tool marks from prying the door open. He said the surface of the toolbox and door was diamond plate steel. The woman said there were no video cameras at the union hall pointed at the parking lot. She said the tools belonged to the Cardi Construction Corporation and not to her. There were no suspects.

LARCENY

Officer Joseph DeDonato responded to Metro Window at 1175 Post Road at approximately 10:15 a.m. on June 18. Upon arrival, DeDonato met with the victim, who indicated at some time during the overnight hours of June 17 through June 18, someone cut a fence on the north side of his property, entered and stole the following items: one Craftsman snow blower valued at $800; two metal brakes valued at $3,500 each; assorted ladders valued at $200; a truck ramp valued at $150; and one CharBroil grill valued at $300.

The man said all items were in a secured fenced area on the rear of his property. DeDonato said it appears the suspect(s) parked to the north side of the building, cut the fence, and entered the rear of the property, removing the items. The victim indicated it would take two individuals to lift some of the items, and that the suspects would need a pickup truck.

DeDonato said it should be noted there are surveillance cameras that monitor the front and south sides of the business and he requested access to that video surveillance footage; however, the owner of the business (being a jewelry company) was not there at the time. DeDonato said the owner told him the video surveillance would be reviewed for any pertinent information.
