TAILGATING

A Boker Street resident reported the tailgate from his 1998 green GMC pick-up truck was stolen on Sept. 28. The owner of the truck told Officer Michelle Caron that his son had driven the vehicle to a friend’s home on Cactus Street in Warwick the night before; he was unsure if the tailgate was taken in the area of Cactus or Boker Street. He described the tailgate as dark green with a plastic bed liner and in-chrome strip top.

FASHIONABLE CRIME

Officer Eric Lima responded to a call regarding a larceny from a vehicle at Doherty’s Ale House at 30 Jefferson Boulevard on Sept. 28 at around 9:28 p.m. The victim left her 2009 Subaru Forester station wagon secured in the parking lot when she went into Doherty’s at 7:45 p.m. and discovered a rock had been thrown through the vehicle’s window when she returned to the car at 9:20 p.m. She reported a $200 gray London bag, $100 worth of make-up and $5 worth of calendars/bills/books, etc. as missing. She had hidden the bag under a jacket in the car but said the jacket had been moved. There were no surveillance cameras in the area. The victim said she wishes to press charges should a suspect be found.
