Warwick detectives have made an arrest for a home invasion that occurred shortly after midnight on July 5.

After forcing entry into the home, Thomas and a second unidentified accomplice accosted the three adult occupants of that residence, causing at least one person to sustain injuries. It was reported that after taking specific items from the residence, the suspects then fled in an unknown direction,” according to Lt. David DeAngelis in a press release.

DeAngelis said investigators were able to link evidence left at the scene to Thomas, who was apprehended July 10 at his home in Providence without incident. He was charged with three counts of felony assault, larceny, burglary and use of a firearm while committing a crime of violence. Warwick Police are continuing their investigation in an attempt to identify and apprehend Thomas’s accomplice. Anyone with information about the case should call detectives at 468-4200.
