Mayor Allan Fung recently helped celebrate the growth of Cranston’s Project LeanNation, located at 800 Oaklawn Ave. Project LeanNation has grown tenfold since its opening 18 months ago. During the ceremony, Fung cut a congratulatory ribbon. The company specializes in preparing weekly tailored meal plans for health-conscious individuals. The business opened in July 2014 with 29 clients, and presently has 250 clients and 15 employees. Discounts are offered for first responders and military personnel. The business has also donated more than 5,000 individual meals, totaling more than $20,000 in value, to Crossroads Rhode Island and other charitable organizations for distribution to the homeless and those in need.
