R.I. Kitchen & Bath, the award winning design-build firm specializing in kitchen, bath and interior renovations throughout Rhode Island, Southeastern Massachusetts and Eastern Connecticut, is pleased to announce their home remodeling seminar series with Kevin O’Connor, award-winning host of “This Old House,” the PBS Emmy-award winning series on home improvement.

The first seminar takes place on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The second seminar takes place Thursday, Nov. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. and the last on Thursday, Jan. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m.

“We are thrilled to have Kevin as our guest presenter for our upcoming remodeling seminars,” states RIKB president Steve St. Onge. “We launched the seminar series several years ago and the response has been outstanding. Homeowners can be overwhelmed with the remodeling process and these informational presentations cover all the bases in what is often a daunting process. Who better to answer questions and give advice than the country’s favorite remodeling expert?”

The series will focus on several topics, including what to consider when embarking on a kitchen and/or bath remodel, the reality of costs, the process of a remodel and the different obstacles one can encounter. R.I. Kitchen & Bath will also have “before and after” photos on hand to showcase the different possibilities for remodeling. Seminars are free and open to the public but advanced registration is required. To register, go to www.RIKB.com, or call 463-1550.

Nominated for an “Outstanding Service Show Host” Emmy Award in his debut season, Kevin O’Connor has been appearing as host of the Emmy Award-winning series, “This Old House,” and the Emmy-nominated series, “Ask This Old House,” since 2003. He also serves on the editorial board of This Old House magazine. Along with Amy Matthews, Kevin is also the host of “This New House,” which premiered on the DIY Network in the summer of 2010. Kevin received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the College of the Holy Cross in 1990 and a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Boston University in 1999. Originally from New Jersey and an avid traveler, Kevin lives with his wife and three children in a home north of Boston.
