Rosella M. “Rose” (Toth) Carson, 99, of Warwick, passed away peacefully July 2, 2011 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the devoted and loving wife of the late Francis Matthew Carson Sr.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Julius and Vilma Toth, she had lived in Warwick for 63 years.
She was the beloved mother of Francis Matthew Carson Jr. and cherished grandmother of Francis Matthew Carson III of Dothan, Ala., Ronnie Carson of Coventry, Cathi Johnson of Warwick, Robyn Somers of Morriston, Fla. and Kerilyn Reynolds of Cicero, N.Y. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Steven, Kash and Sheila, 15 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews and her special friend, Betsy. Rose was the sister of the late Charles Toth, Helen Toth, Mary Bager, Alice Blinkhorn, Margaret Toth and Catherine Nonnenmacher.
Her funeral will be held July 8 at 9:30 a.m. from Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Clement Church, 111 Long St., Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 8:30-9:30 a.m.
