The Gen. Nathanael Greene Homestead will host the 4th Annual Raid on Spell Hall Revolutionary War Reenactment Fundraiser this weekend. This event helps support the Homestead’s multiple education and preservation programs. Events run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Revolutionary War reenactors, living historians and colonial artisans recreate an authentic military encampment and battle reenactment on the grounds of Spell Hall, the Historic 1770 Gen. Nathanael Greene Homestead, home of George Washington’s Most Trusted General. The museum is located at 50 Taft Street in Coventry. Meet General and Mrs. Greene, experience colonial camp-life, music, musket and cannon demonstrations, tour Gen. Greene’s 1770 Homestead and watch Continental Troops defend Spell Hall from red coat and loyalist raiders. Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for children, with a $20 family cap.
