Raymond F. Russo, age 83, of 111 Suburban Parkway, Warwick, died on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at the home of his daughter, Lori A. Wilding, in Hope Valley. He was the husband of the late Alice L. (Crandall) Russo.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Frank and Maria (Bianco) Russo, he lived in Warwick since 1941. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Russo was employed at the RI Institute of Mental Health in Cranston for 18 years, retiring in 1993. He previously owned and operated his family’s market, Russo’s Market, in the Oakland Beach section of Warwick. He was a member of the Sons of Italy.

He is survived by two daughters, Debra A. Tiliouine of Warwick and Lori A. Wilding of Hope Valley, two sons, Raymond C. Russo and Frank R. Russo, both of Warwick; a sister, Virginia Lapati of Barre, Massachusetts; eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Margaret Clouse, Concetta DiFiore, Rose Bartholomew, Nicholas Russo, and Angelina Dorio.

His funeral was held on Monday, May 4, from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rita Church, 722 Oakland Beach Avenue, Warwick. Burial with military honors was in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
