Raymond L. Ruggieri

Raymond L. Ruggieri, 64, passed away June 28, 2013, at home.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Dominic and Janet (Engley) Ruggieri. Ray was employed as a radio technician for the Warwick Police Dept. for 21 years before retiring. He was a member of RI Army National Guard and a communicant of St. Timothy Church. Ray enjoyed attending Mass at LaSalette Shrine and spending time at Oakland Beach.

He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Ruggieri of Coventry and Christine Ruggieri of Warwick; six brothers, Richard, Ronald, Robert, Steven, Michael and John Ruggieri, two sisters, Adrienne Zampini and Rita Covill; three grandchildren, Michael Ruggieri, Elena Heon and Matthew Heon; and many nieces and nephews. He was the best friend of Peter Fullerton since the third grade.

His funeral will be held Friday, at 10 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Timothy Church, Warwick Ave. at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park.
