The R.I. Rays AAU Diamond 11U Baseball Club won the Triple Crown Sports Father’s Day Classic in North Branford, Conn. this past weekend. The Rays won four games over the Westchester Cobras (Rye Brook, N.Y.) 4-3, East Lyme Vipers (East Lyme, Conn.) 6-0 and 10-6 and Fairfield National (Fairfield, Conn.) 17-1 in the championship game. The team also got invited to play in a national tournament in Florida.
