Bestselling authors Jenna Blum, Jane Green, and Sarah McCoy will appear at the Providence Public Library at 150 Empire Street in Providence Sept. 25 for “An Evening with Authors,” a discussion style format where guests will learn what goes on behind the scenes in the book world and get the inside scoop on what the authors are working on. The event, organized by Reading with Robin, a Rhode Island radio talk show that formerly aired on WHJJ 920AM, begins at 7 p.m. It includes a meet and greet and book signing, as well as raffle prizes. Wine, generously donated by J.Lohr, and dessert, will be served, while other authors such as Courtney Sullivan, Laura Zigman, Ann Hood, Sandi Shelton and more will be in attendance. Tickets are available for a reduced price for $25 each until Friday. The regular price is $35. Bank Square Books will be on hand. A portion of book sale proceeds will benefit the Love, Carol Foundation, an organization that raises awareness for breast cancer. Registration, plus informal tours of the newly renovated library, will be from 6 to 6:45 p.m. Visit eventbrite.com and email robin@readingwithrobin.com to reserve a spot.
