To the Editor:
Our team at Greenwood Care and Rehabilitation Center were recently reminded of how thankful we are to be a part of the caring community of Warwick. For the past two years, our caring staff has provided Thanksgiving baskets to our fellow employees who could benefit from some assistance in providing a full Thanksgiving meal to their families.
This year, thanks to the generosity of Warwick’s Knights of Columbus organization, who happened to see a notice in our center about taking donations to build Thanksgiving baskets, this group added an additional five Thanksgiving baskets to our cause. The kindness and compassion shown by their organization spread, and in all we were able to provide a total of 11 families with a full meal and more for their families. Kindness like this is something we can be very grateful for.
Greenwood Care and Rehabilitation is very thankful to generous groups like The Knights of Columbus for their generosity and caring towards our community. This holiday season we have been given plenty of reason to be thankful.
