It was a sunny Saturday in Pawtuxet Village, where the river rushed and the blossoms swayed in a gentle breeze. People filled the streets as they soaked up rays of delicious springtime sun. With the first Gaspee Days event (the Walking Tour of Historic Pawtuxet Village) getting underway, the red and white flowers against the blue river were a gentle reminder to passersby that the heart of summer is just around the corner.
