Posted

U.S. Senator Jack Reed is currently accepting applications for summer interns to serve in his Cranston, Providence and Washington, D.C. offices. Highly motivated college students are encouraged to apply. The deadline for applications to intern in Washington is Friday, March 7. Applications for internships in Reed’s Providence and Cranston offices will be considered on a rolling basis.

Interns in Senator Reed’s Washington office help research legislative issues, give tours of the U.S. Capitol, attend committee hearings, and provide administrative support to Senator Reed and his staff. Both full-time and part-time internships are available. Interns in the Cranston and Providence assist in both research and policy initiatives as well as special projects and events. They also perform various administrative tasks such as greeting guests, drafting correspondence, and sorting mail.

There are two summer sessions and all of these internships are unpaid, but academic credit may be available for some schools.

Individuals interested in an internship with Senator Reed’s office should apply online at www.reed.senate.gov/services/internships.
