Rhode Island Free Clinic is accepting new patients who are uninsured and unable to qualify for, or cannot afford, health insurance through the Affordable Care Act and HealthSource RI.

Rhode Island Free Clinic is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free, comprehensive primary and preventative care to the uninsured, working poor and low-income adults. Clinic patients are uninsured Rhode Island adults aged 19 and older who earn below 150 percent of the Federal Poverty Level. Rhode Island Free Clinic is a licensed medical home where patients receive Primary Care, Specialty Care, Labs and Diagnostics, Medications, Wellness Programs and Health Education with the help of volunteer medical professionals, community partners, and donors. This Clinic does not provide urgent care or walk-in services.

The Clinic has a lottery to accept new patients on the first Thursday of every month, beginning at 4 p.m. If you think you might be eligible, go to the Clinic at 655 Broad Street in Providence on March 6 and bring a current picture ID, a letter or bill with your name and current Rhode Island address, and your tax return, or your most recent two pay stubs, unemployment, TDI, or SSI documents. If you have no income, you must bring a letter signed by the person who is supporting you stating your current living and financial situation as proof of your financial status. Future lottery dates include April 3 and May 1.

For more information about Rhode Island Free Clinic and to find out if you are eligible for free care, call Marion at 274-6347 ext. 314.
