Richard H. Jackson, Jr., 64, passed away March 14, 2013 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Denise L. (Antaya) Jackson for 39 years.
He was a son of the late Richard H. and Dorothy (St. Pierre) Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a middle school teacher at the Immaculate Conception Regional School for 10 years before retiring in June, 2012. He was formerly employed as a world-wide marketing manager for various companies for 30 years. He was a graduate of Memphis State University and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth A. (Jackson) Linden and one son, Richard H. Jackson, III and his wife, Niambi; one granddaughter, Kaylee Jackson; two brothers, Kevin E. Jackson and Gregory A. Jackson, two sisters, Kathleen H. Burns and Deborah A. Jackson-Miller; and his mother-in-law, Mary Antaya.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, March 19 at 8:45 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Ave., Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial will be private. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 p.m.
