Richard H. Renzi, 87, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Angela (Ferretti) Renzi for 63 years.

Born in Providence, he was the loving son of the late Orlando and Delia (Cipolla) Renzi. After graduating from Mt. Pleasant High School. Richard joined the family business, Renzi Motors. Richard then became the owner and proprietor of the Venetian Garden Restaurant for 40 years. A Navy Veteran, Richard enlisted in February, 1945 and served on the USS Missouri until his honorabe discharge. He was a communicant of St. Rita Church, a member of the Warwick Elks Lodge 14, the William Shields Jr. American Legion Post 43, and Sons of Italy, past president of the RI Liquor Dealers Assoc., and a member of the Winstead Marina Boat Yard where he enjoyed boating.

Besides his wife, Richard leaves behind his sister Anne Renzi Wright of Wakefield; sisters-in-law, Lucy Catalano, and Eleanor DeGraide; brother-in-law, Gene DeGraide; uncle of: Julie Wright Henderson, Cathy Wright Blaney, Steven L. Catalano, David M. Catalano, Donna Lee Lynch, James Guisti, Lee Ferretti, John Ferretti, Gary DeGraide, Brad DeGraide, John Bucci, Joan Bucci, Elaine Stinson, and Janet Monohan; and several grand nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 10 a.m. from the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, with a mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Rita Church, Oakland Beach Ave. Burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Wednesday 9-10 a.m.
