Richard J. Cipollone

Richard J. Cipollone, age 79, of Stony Lane, North Kingstown, died at home on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. He was the husband of Diann L. (Lawton) Cipollone.

Born in Providence, the son of the late John J. and Bertha M. (Moreau) Cipollone, he lived in Warwick before moving to North Kingstown in 1993. He served with the Rhode Island Army National Guard.

Mr. Cipollone was employed as a crane operator at the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics in Groton, Connecticut, until his retirement. He greatly enjoyed attending car and truck shows.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, John J. Pender of Urbana, VA; three step-daughters, Christine “Tina” Eddy, Sheryl A. Dooley, and Sheila M. Johnston, all of Warwick; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Maribeth Pender.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 12, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. St. William Church, 200 Pettaconsett Avenue,Warwick. Visting hours will be on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
