In the fifth inning, Kenny Rix broke a tie game with a home run over the left field fence and Dom Brazeau pitched a scoreless fifth and sixth inning to secure a 6-3 victory for first place Langevin’s Reps over Savage & Savage.

Savage & Savage jumped out to a 2-0 early lead on the strong hitting of Nick Carparelli, who led off the game with a double. Jack Hornstien followed with an RBI single, as did Dylan Palumbo. Savage & Savage increased its lead to 3-0 in the second inning on a double by Aiden Sullivan and a single by Zack Fraser. At that point, Cullen McGrew entered the game to pitch for Langevin’s and quieted the Savage & Savage bats over the next two innings.

In the third, McGrew reached base on a walk and proceeded to steal second, third and eventually home to score Langevin’s first run. After three complete, Savage & Savage led 3-1.

Langevin’s tied the score in the fourth inning. Brazeau led off the fourth with a single. Chase Pariseau followed Brazeau with an RBI triple and Sean Gallagher followed Pariseau with an RBI single.

In the fifth, Rix led off with a solo home run, which proved to be all the offense Langevin’s would need.   

Langevin’s 21, Sinapi Law 16

Langevin’s won a back-and-forth slugfest to improve to 14-1 on the season. Sinapi Law jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the first on the strong hitting of Matt Henry, Darius Frey and Aiden Cahill. In the bottom of the first, Langevin’s loaded the bases with one out and Kenny Rix hit a double to plate three runs. At the end of inning one, Langevin’s had tied the score at five, and that inning set the tone for the rest of the back-and-forth game. When the dust cleared in the final inning, Langevin’s walked away with a hard fought 21-16 victory.

Matt Henry had several hits on the day including a home run for Sinapi. Sinapi also had home runs from Sothea Ang Minh and Connor Fallon and a multi-hit game from Aidan Cahill.

Several Langevin’s players had multi-hit games, including Bryan Denton, who had a double and four RBI. Every Langevin’s player reached base and scored.

DeGiulio Insurance 14,

Sinapi Law 9

DeGiulio Insurance came back from an early deficit to beat Sinapi Law 14-9 at Warwick National last Monday night. Danny Riccio’s starting pitching and Noah Sullivan’s solid relief pitching kept DeGiulio close until its offense exploded for 10 runs in the last two innings. Henry LeClaire stood out offensively and defensively for DeGiulio, while Jake White paced a 14-hit Degiulio attack by going 3-for-4 with a double and six RBI. Jack Ayers and Jeriel Garcia were among five DeGiulio players with multiple hits.

Tyler Parks’s strong starting pitching initially held Degiulio at bay, and his long double in the sixth inning threatened to close the gap before the game was called due to the time limit.

Brennan’s Braces 13, Sinapi Law 0

Andrew Merryfield and Demitri Ayers combined for a one-hitter on Wednesday night at Warwick American.

Brennan’s defense went errorless, led by big plays from Joe Melucci at third base. Ayers hit two balls off the left field wall to spark the offense.

Sheridan Electric 8, DeGiulio 5

Jake Randall and Cameron Armenti combined to pitch Sheridan to victory. Randall threw into the fifth inning with 10 strikeouts. Armenti pitched well in the sixth to weather a last-inning rally. They also led the offense with two hits each. Will Walaska was 2-for-2 with a walk. Also contributing hits were Nathan Miller and Aidan Cahill. Madison Jackson led the defense in a well-played game by both teams

Sheridan Electric 16,

Coastway Credit Union 3

Sheridan’s offense had a big night in a 16-3 win. Every player reached base at least twice, led by Will Walaska, who was 2-for-2 with his first home run. Cameron Martin was 2-for-3. Sheridan played strong defense led by Aidan Cahill at first base.
