Robert Edward McGowan Radican, 76, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, and formerly of Briarcliff Avenue, Warwick, died on January 2, 2013 in Port Saint Lucie. He was the beloved husband of Theresa Marie (Fusco) Radican for 52 years.
Born on December 31, 1936 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Walter Daniel and Margaret M. (Dailey) Radican. After graduating from Bryant College with a B.S. in Accounting in 1957, Bob served in the United States Army, and was listed in the 1969 Outstanding Young Men in America. He founded and ran several computer consulting businesses, the last of which was Network Solutions, Inc. He was active in many community and charitable organizations throughout Rhode Island, including Kent Hospital, the Boys and Girls Club, and the J. Arthur Trudeau Memorial Center. Bob was a long-time member of Warwick Country Club. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife; he is survived by four daughters, Dawn Natalia (and her husband, Lawrence), Stacey Astin (and her husband, Mervin), Kelli Radican, and Deborah Guile, and a son, Robert Radican, Jr. He was grandfather to Marina and Holly Astin and Connor and Maya Guile.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 8, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
