Robert F. Hunter, 83, of Harley St., passed away February 16, 2012, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Lucille L. (Archambault) Hunter; they had been married for 58 years.

Born in West Warwick, he was a son of the late John H. and Edith (Locke) Hunter. Mr. Hunter was an aircraft painter at Quonset Point Naval Air Station for 25 years before retiring in 1970. He was a communicant of St. Mary Church, a member of the Mary Doran Council 8977 Knights of Columbus, a Fourth Degree K of C, Fr. Wallace Assembly 1055, enjoyed family, golfing with friends and was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan.

Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Charlene Hunter of West Warwick and Susan Muschiano and her husband, Don, of West Warwick; three grandchildren, Nicholas and Jennifer Muschiano and Jaime Masciarelli; and two great-grandchildren, Max and Sophia. He was the brother of the late Isabelle Philips, Edward and John Hunter.

His funeral will be held Feb. 21 from Henault-Gallogly Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Church St., West Warwick. Interment will follow with military honors in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
