Robert I. Percival, 90, of Warwick passed away on October 27, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Betty Jane (Allen) Percival, they were married in 1949.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Richard R. Percival, Sr. and Carra (Briggs) Percival. An Engineer, Mr. Percival served as Vice President of Tyco, Inc., now I.T.T. Grinnell until his retirement in 1988 and as a U.S. Merchant Marine. He served two terms as president of Warwick Central Baptist Church where he served on several boards, a member of the Adult Fellowship of the church and was a founding member of the Warwick Central Adult Day Care. He was a member of the Masonic Order for many years and a member of the Natopean Club.
He was the loving father of Darryl L. Percival and his wife, Kathleen of West Greenwich, Keith A. Percival of Boca Raton, Florida and Janis Lynn Constantine and her husband, Michael of Warwick. Cherished grandfather of Carra Beth Constantine, Alexis A. Percival, Jonathan M. Constantine and his wife, Danielle and Dean A. Percival. Caring uncle of several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Richard R. Percival, Jr., George Percival and Ruth B. Jennings.
His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) followed by burial in Elm Grove Cemetery, North Kingstown. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
