Robert J. DelVecchio
Robert J. DelVecchio, 69, of Warwick, died unexpectedly March 7, 2012. He was the loving husband of Joan DelVecchio.
He was a man of selflessness and love who gave so much of himself to others without hesitation. He sought to be a source of joy and comfort to everyone he met. His open-heartedness and enthusiasm were an example to all who knew him of the best that could be found in each of us. His love and dedication to his family and his faith will always be remembered by those who were lucky enough to have known him. May we all know love and friendship as he knew them, share them as easily as he did, and have as much of both returned to us as he experienced.
He was the father of Joseph V. DelVecchio and Amanda J. DelVecchio Rocheleau; proud grandfather of four little girls who loved him dearly; brother of Dennis R. DelVecchio; and uncle to Dennis and Salvatore DelVecchio.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held March 12 in Ss. Rose and Clement Parish, 111 Long St., Warwick. Burial followed in Pawtuxet Memorial Park Cemetery, Warwick. Visitation was held March 11 in The Butterfield Chapel, 500 Pontiac Ave., Cranston.
Remembrances to The Father Ferry Fund at Saint Rose of Lima School, Warwick and/or Smile Train would be appreciated.
