Robert J. Mowry, 85, of Post Road, Warwick went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 17, 2013 at V.A. Regional Medical Center, Providence. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy E. (Colwell) Mowry.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 21, 1928, Robert was the son of the late Irving J. Mowry and the late Caroline E. (Osborne) Mowry. He had been a resident of Warwick since 1932. Robert had been a designer for Sears and also was employed for a number of years as the plant artist of the U.S. Rubber Co. when it was located in Providence. He was founder and president of the former Warwick Sign and Advertising Studios, Inc. Robert was a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, class of 1952, with a B.A. Degree in Advertising Design. He was also a member of the R.I. Honor Society and a recipient of the American Legion Award for Leadership, and a veteran of World War II.

He was the honored father of the late Lance Lee Mowry.

The funeral service and burial were private.

He had a passion for God's furry and feathered friends throughout his life.
