Robert M. Morgan
Marine Corps veteran
Robert Malcolm Morgan passed away March 7, 2012. He was the beloved husband of 49 years of Kathleen F. Morgan.
Mr. Morgan joined the United States Marine Corps in 1958 and served 11 years, including a tour in Vietnam, where he was exposed to Agent Orange. He finished his military career in the Maryland Army National Guard, retiring as 1st Sergeant. He also had a civil service career as a computer systems analyst. Lastly, he spent several years in the private sector, most notably as the assistant regional manager in the Maryland prison system. His retirement years were full of family, travel, participation in many veterans groups and volunteering at the VA Hospital in Washington, D.C.
He was the father of Robert I. Morgan and his wife, Kristina, Daniel S. Morgan and his wife, Rachel, and Karen E. Morgan; brother of Meredith Dubke of Warwick and the late Kenneth Morgan; and grandfather of 10.
Burial will take place in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. in June.
