Robert P. McKenna, 88, formerly a resident of the Seasons in East Greenwich, passed away peacefully on Thursday July 28, 2016 surrounded by his family.

Born in Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Patrick McKenna. Bob was a resident of Warwick for most of his life and in his later years before moving to The Seasons resided in Cranston. He served in the United States Army Air Force as an aerial photographer and after serving our country was accepted to RISD. After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design he worked as a graphic designer in New York and in the Art Department at Kenney Manufacturing in Rhode Island. He was employed there for nearly 40 years before retiring. Bob was an incredibly talented man, quiet and humble, and will always be remembered for his genuine kindness and extreme generosity.

He is survived by his children, Robert P. McKenna Jr., of Warwick; Evelyn M. Iannotti and her husband, Daniel, of North Kingstown; and Donna L. Rines and her husband, Robert, of Johnston. He is also survived by five granddaughters: Katelyn E (Rines) DeFelice, Erin M. Iannotti, Kelley A. Rines, Leah L. McKenna, and Lindsey L. McKenna. He was the former husband of the late Marie A. (Coutcher) McKenna, the mother of his three children and the former husband of the late Dolores C. (Lastarza) McKenna.

He was laid to rest on August 5, 2016 in St. Ann’s Cemetery in Cranston, RI.
