Roberts endorses Ferri for Lieutenant Governor

Posted

Lieutenant Governor Elizabeth Roberts has endorsed progressive Frank Ferri in the Democratic Primary to succeed her as lieutenant governor. After serving two consecutive terms, Roberts is barred from seeking re-election.

“Frank Ferri’s experience as a small business owner and his tireless efforts to advance and protect the interests of working Rhode Islanders are among the many reasons I’m proud to be supporting him in his campaign to be our next lieutenant governor,” Roberts said in a statement.

“Frank brings new ideas and a fresh perspective to this office. As a successful business owner, Frank overcomes the challenges that face Rhode Island businesses every day and can relate to entrepreneurs in a uniquely personal way. Frank is a leader and someone who isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo. He’ll stand up for all of us and work to get our state moving in the right direction again,” Roberts added.

Ferri, who lives in Warwick, is the State Representative for District 22. He owns and operates Town Hall Lanes in Johnston.

“I’m honored to have the support of Lt. Governor Roberts. Under her leadership, Rhode Island has been at the forefront of implementing innovative and effective health care reforms that have led to thousands of people getting access to affordable coverage they need and deserve. She’s left her mark on the office, and while no one could truly fill her shoes, I’d certainly be honored to walk in her footsteps,” Ferri said in a statement.

A useless position (Lt. Gov) endorses a Warwick Rep that voted for 38 Studios. Roberts must be crazy.. Sounds like just another Democrat day in RI to me.
