Roger E. Bulkeley, Jr.,73, died April 8, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Vera B. (Witkowski) Granata.
He was the son of the late Roger E. and Ruth V. (L’Heureux) Bulkeley, Sr. Roger was the co-owner and founder of Vera’s Restaurant in Pawtuxet Village, which he owned for 17 years with his wife. He was a member of the Pawtuxet Athletic Club, where he had also worked as a bartender. An antique car enthusiast, he owned a number of antique cars throughout his life.
He was the father of Katherine Pearson and stepfather of John J. Granata; brother of Donna L. Ross, Peter J. Bulkeley and the late Robert A. Bulkeley and Edward A. Bulkeley. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
