Ronald L. MacKinnon, Jr., 60, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 peacefully at home. He was the beloved husband for 32 years of Leslie A. (Campion) MacKinnon.

Born in Warwick, a son of Ronald L. MacKinnon Sr. and the late Filomena (Delvicario), he has been a resident of North Kingstown since 1981. Ron was the co-owner of the Whalen Square Cafe in Warwick which has been in the family for over 50 years. He ran dart and card leagues at the cafe and was a coach and board member of the North Kingstown American Little League for 15 years. He was an avid, NY Giants, Red Sox, Celtics, and PC Basketball fan and loved fishing and boating in Narragansett Bay. He was a self-taught handy man and loved spending time with his family and friends.

He was the beloved father of Ronald L. MacKinnon III (Meghan) and Lindsay M. Eansor (Kevin); and grandfather of Liam Ronald MacKinnon. He was also the brother of Linda L. Maxfield, Kenneth P. MacKinnon, and Gerald F. MacKinnon.

His funeral will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Francis DeSales Church, School Street, North Kingstown. Burial in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting hours Friday, 4-8 p.m. and Saturday 9-10 a.m.
