Ronald P. Favali, age 69, of South Course Drive, Pompano Beach, Florida, and formerly of Warwick, Rhode Island, died on Monday, November 7, 2016, at Hospice by the Sea in Pompano Beach. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Blake) Favali.

Born in Providence, a son of Genevieve (Steiner) Favali of Warwick, RI, and the late Joseph D. Favali Sr., he lived in Warwick, RI before moving to Pompano Beach in 1999. He was a 1969 graduate of Providence College. Mr. Favali was a teacher in the Providence Public Schools for almost 30 years, retiring in 1999. He was a former member of Cranston Council Knights of Columbus.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Christine M. King of Boyton Beach, FL and Heather L. Bowering of North Providence, RI; a son, Ronald P. Favali, Jr. of Palm Harbor, FL; four grandchildren, Spencer and Lily Marci, and Sean and Trey Favali; two brothers, Robert Favali of Westport, MA and Joseph Favali of North Smithfield RI; three sisters, Joanne Jaworski of Dade City, FL, Catherine Sonnenberg of Pitman, NJ, and Karen DeWitt of Seekonk, MA. He was the brother of the late Jeanne Sprague.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 12, at 10:45 a.m. in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, RI. Relatives and friends are invited, and may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, RI.
