Rosalind F. "Ros" (Rakusin) Herman, 91, of Warwick, died December 25, 2011. She was the wife of the late Jerome Herman.

Born in Fall River, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Anna (Kline) Rakusin. Mrs. Herman worked as an administrative assistant with the Selective Service, retiring in 1976. She was a founding member of Temple Torat Yisrael, having served as secretary on the Board of Trustees, and was a past president of its Sisterhood. She was a life member of Hadassah, the Jewish Home for the Aged and the Miriam Hospital Women's Association.

She is survived by her daughter, Harriet (John) Pratt of Plano, Texas; her brother, Milton Rakusin of Margate, Fla.; her grandchildren, Lisa, Michelle, Lara and Debra; and her great-grandchildren, Stephen, Jessica, Casey, Brenden, Samuel, Sophie, Sarah and Jacob. She was the mother of the late Sheila Sheer.

Funeral services were held Dec. 27 at Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel, 458 Hope St., Providence, with burial in Lincoln Park Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at the home of Lisa Zenack, 11 Sadie's Way, Mansfield, Mass., Dec. 29 from 7-9 p.m.
