Roy E. Ahearn, age 66, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and formerly of Warwick, died on May 1, 2013 at home in Murfreesboro. He was the husband of Debra (Wisehart) Ahearn.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Thomas C. and Charlotte M. (McLeod) Ahearn, he lived in Warwick before moving to Tennessee in 1993. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.

Mr. Ahearn was employed in assembly with Nissan Corp. in Tennessee before retiring.

Besides his wife; he is survived by two sons, Sean E. Ahearn of Cranston and Bryan T. Ahearn of Johnston, a daughter, Melissa M. Ahearn of Cranston; a granddaughter, Peyton; two sisters, Alice F. Petrarca of West Warwick and Charlene M. Ahearn of Texas, and three brothers, Thomas C. Ahearn of Warwick, Kenneth C. Ahearn of Charlestown, and Brian J. Ahearn of Texas. He was the brother of the late John J. Jesser and Ronald J. Jessser.

His funeral will be held on Friday, May 10, at 10:15 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:15 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 350 Fair Street, Warwick. Visiting hours are Thursday 4-8 p.m. Burial with military honors will be in the Rhode Island Veterans’ Cemetery, Exeter.
