Ruth E. Yehle, 75, of Warwick, died Friday, February 6, 2015 at Kent County Hospital in Warwick. She was the beloved wife of Frederick L. Yehle.

Born in Providence on August 9, 1939, Ruth was a daughter of the late Harvey E. and Catherine M. (Spencer) Hicks. Ruth was a homemaker and a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Warwick. She was also a member of the Ladies of Saint Anne.

In addition to her beloved husband, Ruth is survived by her devoted children: Joyce A. Langon and her husband, Alfred of Cranston, William E. Yehle and his wife, Sheila and James F. Yehle and his wife, Renee, all of Warwick; a brother: Leonard H. Hicks of Cranston; four sisters: Barbara M. Silvia and Mary Ann Chalifoux, both of Warwick, Pauline C. Taylor of Jaffrey, New Hampshire and Donna Jean Rose of Warwick; seven cherished grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Ruth was the grandmother of the late James Peter Yehle and sister of the late Ella M. Assalone.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick on Wednesday morning from 8 a.m.- 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Church, West Greenwich.
