A beach is full of surprises, and so are the shallows of Narragansett Bay. So it wasn’t surprising to find lots of kids wandering the beach at Rocky Point last Friday. Mary Fritzmeir of Cranston brought her granddaughters to explore, as did Club Creative of Coventry. Ali Fusco of the club said she had planned to bring the group to Roger Williams Park but then changed the destination to Rocky Point. Shells, sea glass and jellyfish were among their discoveries along with a dead horseshoe crab that “freaked” the kids out when it was suggested it could be cooked-up for dinner.
