Edward Cascella (left) son of Richard and Donna, completed a turn at the Boy’s State Leadership Retreat this summer. Boy's State is a program sponsored by the American Legion. All participants are nominated and then chosen to attend. Edward was among 16 boys chosen statewide. He served as the treasurer of the mock government and was chosen by his peers to serve as an alternate to Boy's Nation. He is pictured with his brother Henry, who been chosen to serve as a corporal in H Company at the Virginia Military Institute, where he is a Second Year Man. He has been assigned to the "Cadre," an elite physical training detail, and recently received a three-year ROTC Scholarship. Henry will commission into the U.S. Army as a Second Lieutenant upon graduation. (Submitted photo)
