Students, faculty and visitors all get to sample the results of the classroom work of Warwick Area Career and Technical Center culinary students on Wednesdays and Fridays. Those are the days the students run the lunch cart and serve meals at the center’s Tides Restaurant. Calzones, costing $3, are a favorite with students. Meals at Tides range from $6 to $7.50 and are served at sittings at 11:30 and noon. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the center at 734-3161. Chef and instructor Eva Niosi said the restaurant provides students an environment where outsiders can critique not only their culinary skills but also their ability to serve and interact with the public.
