Team members from Price Rite recently presented a check for $52,190 to representatives from the Rhode Island Community Food Bank as a result of funds raised during the supermarket chain’s annual Check Out Hunger campaign. From October to December 2015, Price Rite stores banded together to collect donations at checkout, raising over $500,000 for food banks across nine states in an effort to support the fight against hunger. The Rhode Island Community Food Bank serves 60,000 Rhode Islanders in need of food assistance each month.
