Freed of a rusty crust and stains, the arch at Rocky Point has become a visible reminder of the park’s rich history and bright future. The city took on the project of painting the arch with most of the work done by Blane Toedt of the Department of Public Works. The Rocky Point Foundation provided funding for the paint and rental of equipment under a community grant awarded by the Rhode Island Foundation and augmented by contributions raised by the Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce. City and state officials will gather at the arch Monday at noon to see the completed project. (Warwick Beacon photo by John Howell)
