Warwick Area Career and Technical Center graphics arts students Kathleen Romano and Aidan Mitchell won first and second place, respectively, in the AAA traffic safety message contest. More than 1,000 students from Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts entered the contest that AAA members voted on online. The agency hopes to have the messages displayed in theaters. Romano’s “Deathgram,” a play on Instagram, and Mitchell’s video clip on seatbelt use can also be seen on the AAA website. Pictured with the winners, who received $300 and $200, are Diana Imondi Das, AAA traffic safety program manager, and Frank Ritz, branch manager of the AAA office on Centerville Road.
